The American Revolution: A Ken Burns Documentary 

Meeting the Moment Discussion Guide and Questions

The new Ken Burns series on the American Revolution, which airs on PBS the week of November 16, 2025, provides an excellent opportunity for conversation and programming about why the colonists separated from England and established representative democracy.

Many of the democracy and rule of law discussions we wish to have in our communities focus on ways that governmental actions today are a departure from what our Founders intended.

This series promotes a way to root these conversations in the language of history, and LDAD's Meeting the Moment initiative is pleased to be working with volunteers around the country to facilitate these efforts. Please continue to check this page for a growing list of resources and ideas.
